When paying for your purchases ask the shop staff for a Tax Free Form.
Remember: Incomplete Tax Free Form = No refund
At the airport or the port please allow enough time for the refund process before your flight or ship departs.
Before you check in for your journey, go to the Customs desk and present your completed Tax Free Form, receipts, passport, purchases and credit card to get a stamp on your form and get your refund transferred to your credit card.
Don’t pack goods away in your check-in luggage as you will need to show them to the Customs Officer.

● The Form is valid for 90 days after the issuing date.
● The Form must be duly stamped by official Uruguayan Customs (including electronic stamp) within 90 days following the date when the Form was issued.
● Original receipt/invoice must be attached to the Form. Only one receipt per Tax Free Form is allowed.
