James Strabo has over 25 years of international experience in the retail and payment technology sectors as an executive, entrepreneur, and investor.
In 2021, James co-founded Global Blue Ventures and his experience brings a unique profile to help drive Global Blue's diversification strategy. He was a member of the founding team of Blackhawk Network, a global payment leader, and has worked on corporate ventures focused on retail technology at Safeway, Westfield, and News Corporation.
In addition, James has a proven track record of success in commercial deal-making, having worked with a diverse range of companies including Apple, Google, Microsoft, Universal, Nike, Visa, American Express, MasterCard, National Basketball Association, Farfetch and LVMH, among others.
James is based in London and is a graduate of Lafayette College (USA).
Andrew Carroll founded Yocuda, a retail technology company at the forefront of helping brands and retailers better identify and engage with customers.
The business was first acquired by Westfield and is now majority owned by Global Blue. Andrew subsequently co-founded Global Blue Ventures in 2020 to find nascent retail technologies that Global Blue can invest in (minority or majority) and help grow through Global Blue's commercial reach and geographic footprint.
Andrew holds an MBA from Cass Business School, the UK, and an MA from St Andrews University, the UK.
