Vans teams up with British fashion label Vivienne Westwood on an exclusive footwear collection that re-interprets classic Vivienne Westwood prints. The unique project combines Vans’ celebrated skate shoe designs with Vivienne Westwood’s famously anarchic and rebellious high-fashion aesthetic. Combining signatures from both brands, the popular Vans Sk8-Hi models take centre stage, and are embossed with handwritten letters to the Vivienne Westwood flagship store at 44 Conduit Street in London.
Styles feature printed postage stamps signifying the collection’s launch date, and the new platform model is inspired by Vivienne Westwood’s famous pirate boots, first introduced in 1981. For a new-age look, the Checkerboard slip-on showcases Vivienne Westwood’s famous Destroy graphic in dynamic, vampy red. With a nod to the styles of the 1990s, the minimalist black suede Style 53 loafers are finished with Vivienne Westwood orb-logo buckles in a vibrant multicoloured palette for an uplifting and modern statement.
The Vans x Vivienne Westwood Anglomania collection is released on 20 September.
