Homeware designer extraordinaire Tom Dixon sets the home decoration tone for summer with a new collection of versatile furniture pieces for the home. Unveiled in April at Milan Design Week and the opening of The Manzoni showroom restaurant in Milan – an immersive Tom Dixon shoppable restaurant experience – the new home accessories include a three new lines: Fat, Opal and Spring.
Manufactured in Europe, the Fat collection focuses on upholstery and offers a selection of dining chairs, high stools and lounge chairs for your perfect breakfast, brunch, lunch, dinner and relaxed evening setting. The designs pay close attention to simplicity, and you can find functional metal constructions finished in high-gloss black lacquer and bespoke made-to-order fabrics.
The Opal family takes on a three-dimensional aesthetic with spherical opalescent lights and a selection of soft, dimmable and diffused LED lights with flattering custom blow-moulded lightbulb shapes. The complete collection includes two pendant lights, a surface light and two floor lights.
The centrepiece Spring lighting family presents a series of three pendant lamps constructed with stainless steel strips. The semi-transparent lights offer a modern design construction, reminiscent of a flying saucer and spirograph drawing. The high-performance steel fixture is available in angelic or a muted brass finish, which adds shape and contrast.
