Daks opened day two of LFW with a sleek and sophisticated classic heritage collection. Working with the label’s traditional check print, the new autumn/winter collection features long-line silhouettes, sharp cocoon coats and a palette sprinkled with black, off-white and traditional pillar-box red.
Taking inspiration from Scotland’s architecture and landscapes, head designer Sheila McKain-Waid worked a geometric theme using the label’s staples of tweed and check prints in soft browns and muted greys. As the holder of a Royal Warrant, it seems fitting for Daks to create a conservative, regal collection, given the Queen’s diamond jubilee this year.
This countryside-themed outlook sees Daks at the forefront of contemporary British style, celebrating heritage fashion with a fresh and modern twist.
