Inspired by his Indian roots and by religious motifs, Ashish presented an autumn/winter collection with an exquisitely surreal theme: Bollywouldn’t.
Glamorously incorporating bohemian 70s layering, ethnic-style headscarves and religious and cultural iconography added a mystical dimension to his designs. Luxurious tie-dye silk kurtas were embellished with vibrant smiley faces and psychedelic paisley prints appeared in his signature stunning sequins.
The colour palette ranged from muted neutrals to contrasting neon blues, pinks and yellows, and opulently decorated maxi dresses and blazers were paired with sports-chic hoodies featuring printed slogans. Biker boots with multicoloured stack heels completed the look and lent a masculine edge.
