Discover the essence of Chanel this autumn when the Mademoiselle Privé exhibition opens at the Saatchi Gallery on 13 October. Visitors to the exhibition are taken on a journey through Chanel’s couture history, with highlights including re-editions of the 1932 Bijoux de Diamants high-jewellery collection and the timeless Chanel No5 fragrance.
The exhibition starts with a walk through an English garden, which leads into galleries that represent significant places in Gabrielle ‘Coco’ Chanel’s life, such as rue Cambon in Paris, the home of the first Chanel boutique. The first floor of the exhibition covers the Bijoux de Diamants high-jewellery collection, featuring exclusive pieces designed for the exhibition by Karl Lagerfeld.
There are also a number of portraits showing models and actresses wearing Chanel’s couture fashion and high-jewellery creations. Open until 1 November, this free exhibition in London is not to be missed.
