Mackintosh has a long and interesting history and is named after Charles Macintosh (the k was a later addition) who in 1823 developed a rubberised, waterproof fabric.
Coats made of this material became known as macs. They are crafted to perfection by Mackintosh, which combines style with protection in producing this carefully handmade outerwear. Its rubberised coats are put together in a Scottish factory using traditional sewing techniques and modern technology.
Mackintosh, which has a strong following in South East Asia, has joined forces with Japanese brand Hyke in a fourth collaboration. The range for SS16 fuses heritage and modern style.
Offering the ultimate wardrobe piece which will last a lifetime, Mackintosh has flagship stores in London and Tokyo and stockists around the world.
