For autumn/winter 2018 classic British department store John Lewis has teamed up with heritage British brand Gloverall for a menswear collaboration that will have you rethinking your entire winter wardrobe.
Founded in 1950, Gloverall was created after glove and overall wholesaler H&F Morris was offered a large amount of surplus military overcoats. The coats sold out rapidly and inspired owners Harold and Freda Morris to form their own line, creating a more wearable, everyday version of this classic outwear.
For this new-season collaboration, John Lewis and Gloverall decided to focus on the duffel coat, with the John Lewis menswear design team visiting Gloverall’s archives for inspiration. Alongside the warm duffel coats created in classic Gloverall fabrics, the collection offers a selection of cosy knitwear and shorter jackets, perfect for the British winter.
In a colour palette of cream, camel, navy and rust, the Made in England coats and jackets will be available exclusively at John Lewis from October 2018, just in time for an utterly stylish winter wardrobe update. Click through to see the very best from this timeless collaboration.
