Russian designer, photographer and film maker Gosha Rubchinskiy is known for his eponymous streetwear brand, developing clothes around post-Soviet youth style. This season marks his second collaboration with British design house Burberry, featuring classic Burberry pieces remastered with Rubchinskiy’s raw, modern touch. The limited-edition capsule collection includes 13 new pieces that celebrate Burberry’s classic outerwear and its signature house check. Cool flannel shirts, featuring both small and large checks, are a modern revival of the house’s heritage, while a reconstructed trench coat with double-buckle belt, inspired by archive military styles, is a highlight from the collection. Accessories include cashmere scarves, leather loafers and check bucket hats – a nod to Rubchinskiy’s streetwear heritage.
The collection is available in selected stores globally and at Dover Street Market and Comme des Garçons concessions.
