Forget the actors, personalities and musicians attending Burberry. This year there was another sought-after personality on the front row – the Apple iPhone 5s, recently announced by Apple and due to be on sale around the world within the week.
The Burberry spring/summer 2014 show was live-streamed across the internet using the phone, reaching thousands of people watching on Burberry.com and in Burberry’s flagship stores in London, Milan, Paris and Bucharest.
Burberry is one of the most active digital brands and is known as a pioneer in the use of digital media to improve its customer experience. Burberry’s digital innovations include making personalised items available straight from the catwalk with its Smart Personalisation service and making its in-store shopping experience truly interactive with wireless technology.
Show previews and collection insights are available via Burberry’s accounts on Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, Douban and Sina Weibo. This year it was all made possible with the help of Apple and the soon-to-be-released iPhone 5s.
Go behind the scenes at Burberry spring/summer 2014 and soak up the front-row atmosphere as models Cara Delevingne and Jourdan Dunn walk the runway wearing Burberry’s English Rose collection – with a little help from the Apple iPhone 5s.
