At Crazy Pizza, it’s not unusual to find vibrant red, oversized teddy bears sitting in the chairs outside, while inside, the plush interior uses a palette of red, forest green, black and creamy vanilla hues, accompanied by an array of photographs showing pizza being enjoyed by some very famous faces.
A team of Italian chefs rustle up some of the best Italian food you’ll find outside of the country, and they even make their own Fior di Latte mozzarella. The cheese is available in 100g, 150g or 250g sizes, and is accompanied by Sicilian-sourced tomatoes, basil and extra virgin olive oil – the ideal sharing dish for large tables. There is an extensive list of 15 starters and salads to choose from, featuring quinoa, octopus and Loch Fyne salmon, and there are options to cater to all dietary requirements.
The eatery is famous for its super-thin and light pizza bases, and the menu includes traditional classics, such as salami, calzone and margherita, as well as more unusual options. Fiori di Zucca is a combination of home-made mozzarella, courgette flowers and anchovies.
With truffle season nearly upon us, it would be rude not to sample the Tartufo pizza – just the right balance of white and black truffles combined with quality extra virgin oil and the very moreish home-made mozzarella.
Be sure to leave room for dessert as the lava cake and tiramisu are must-orders. The latter is prepped tableside, making this unique experience alone worthy of an Instagram post.
