London Fashion Week continues to take over the British capital, with hordes of the fashion industry’s biggest names descending on the city. Those looking for a way to get involved in the week’s events should be sure to pay a visit to the Postbox Maze, launched by accessories designer Anya Hindmarch.
The first accessories designer to hold a scheduled London Fashion Week show, Anya Hindmarch is a stalwart on the London fashion scene, heralded for her production standards and creativity. In previous years, Anya Hindmarch has invited Londoners to get involved in Fashion Week through a series of immersive events, such as the Chubby Hearts campaign and the Chubby Cloud installation.
This year, visitors can immerse themselves in the world of the written word in the giant red Postbox Maze, inspired by the patterns within MC Escher’s Metamorphosis III mural, designed 50 years ago for the Hague Post Office. Sure to appeal to fashion and literature lovers alike, the Postbox Maze was created in collaboration with Letters Live. It will allow visitors to listen to recording of letters written over centuries from around the world, read by famous actors and celebrities, as they make their way through the maze.
The Postbox Maze also celebrates the latest Anya Hindmarch handbag, the Postbox. Made in one of the world’s leading workshops, the new handbag has been crafted with a handmade vintage gold frame and its flap resembles the opening of a traditional postbox.
The Postbox Maze takes place in Brewer Street Car Park and tickets start at £12.50.
