Locals, however, also flock to Globus for its excellent food hall and the top-floor restaurant, which offers a great view of the city.

The ‘House of Brands’ is the largest premium department store in Zürich, but the art nouveau glass architecture of the building is even more impressive than its sheer size. Visitors are greeted with guest relations booths at ground floor entrances, staffed by helpful assistants who can help visitors navigate its five floors and 1,000 or so brands.

The flagship of Switzerland’s largest chain of department stores caters to a broad clientele and offers several home-brand budget collections. The highlight is located on the lowest floor, where what they describe as ‘the biggest shoes and accessories paradise in the city’ displays covetable bags, shoes and other fashionable accoutrements.

This gleaming shrine to Bally stands proudly on the street’s busiest intersection. The Swiss fashion brand, world-renowned for its premium leather accessories, has had a boutique in this location since 1927; the current building dates back to 1968 and houses all Bally’s clothing and accessories collections.
