Baselworld’s popularity increases each year and 2014 saw leading timepiece brands return to the event with three-storey exhibition spaces to match the big new collections.
Gucci continued its golden-themed showcase with a new collection based on timeless classics, while Burberry added to its 2013 The Britain collection with a limited-edition ceramic model.
Mikimoto delighted crowds with its intricate and unique cultured-pearl jewellery and Dior payed tribute to its French heritage.
One of the exhibition’s standout spaces was from Swarovski. Celebrating its fifth Baselworld anniversary, the luxury jeweller and watch label installed a glittering circular unit, which included previews of the Swarovski Watchme sculpture made from around 2,000 Swarovski watches.
