Indiska dates back to the turn of the 20th century, when Mathilda Hamilton opened a store in Stockholm selling Indian spices and other items from her travels. It was bought in the 50s by the Thambert family, who retained the original concept, and the store became focused on the sale of ornaments and gifts. Classic Indian-influenced fashions followed in the 60s, with bohemian, folksy clothing becoming Indiska’s mainstay from then on. Head here for A-line denim skirts and homewares in tropical kiwi, aubergine and lagoon shades.
