Where do you live?
Manresa, in Barcelona.
What’s the best thing about your neighbourhood?
It’s quiet and very relaxing. It’s a good place to go back home to after a long working day.
What are your favourite restaurants in Barcelona?
Hotel Arts is amazing in terms of gastronomy and it has a privileged position over the sea. Aligué in Manresa is a very traditional, high-quality restaurant and they have great truffle specialities.
Any recommendations for Spanish dishes?
Jamón ibérico de bellota is a must, as well as Spanish omelette and a good red Spanish wine.
Where do you like to celebrate in Barcelona?
The sea view from Hotel Arts is amazing; it’s a really nice place for a special celebration.
What’s your favourite Madrid store?
I love Ekseption, for the great product selection.
Which Spaniard do you most admire?
There are so many! Maribel Verdú and Penélope Cruz are great actresses, but I also love Dalí, Picasso, Tàpies, Isabel Coixet and so many more.
Any places you’d recommend visitors avoid?
Not a single one!
Can you offer any advice for those visiting Madrid or Barcelona?
One has to live to the beat of those cities to understand them. Both of them are beautiful, of course, but most important for me is to really live them, their people and their celebrations.
