Covering nine floors, the new El Corte Inglés department store promises a fabulous shopping experience, with its high-fashion brands, premium watches and jewellery quarter. And with a new dedicated tax returns area, Tax Free shopping at El Corte Inglés couldn’t be easier.
Take a look through our guide at some of the store’s new highlights:
The new high-fashion floors bring together Fashion Week designers from London and Paris to Milan and New York. Each designer brand has its own decorated space in line with its signature style.
Customers can find items from British fashion house Burberry and Parisian couture house Dior, alongside Italian fashion labels Prada, Miu Miu and Gucci, to name just a few.
More locally, Spanish label Loewe also has a prominent fashion space, featuring such signature pieces as the Tales of Spain accessories collection.
Watches and jewellery
As part of the new store expansion El Corte Inglés has also installed a new fine jewellery and watches quarter.
Here you can find core pieces from the likes of Bulgari, Boucheron, Chaumet, Chopard and Cartier, while over in the watch quarter, Baselworld 2013 offers timepieces from Blancpain, Rolex, Omega and Piaget, among others.
Gourmet food court
A department store shopping trip isn’t complete until you’ve sampled the in-house cuisine.
The new Gourmet Experience offers guests a number of delicacies from around the world, including a large selection of Spanish dishes. Guests can enjoy cured meats, seafood and a number of cheeses, coupled with fine wines and Champagnes.
Those travelling from Russia, China and nearby Portugal can expect to find bilingual attendants on hand to ensure their orders are delivered to perfection.
