Where were you born?
In Tarragona, a Catalan city south of Barcelona.
Where do you live?
In Gavà Mar, a really nice place only 15 kilometres from Barcelona. I love it because it is close to the sea and very peaceful.
Which is your favourite Barcelona neighbourhood?Eixample.
Which are your favourite Barcelona stores?
Nino Álvarez on Muntaner, a multibrand store for men, and Conti on Rambla Catalunya, which is just one of the four boutiques they own in Barcelona. They offer lots of different clothes for both men and women from casual to bespoke tailoring.
Where can visitors find a Jesús Peiró store?
Provença 304. I chose that location because it is the most important commercial and business area of the city.
What inspired the most recent Peiró collection?
Merché Segarra, our main designer, found her inspiration for the Orient Express collection in a trip between the Occident and the Orient and a reinterpretation of the two cultures. The dresses are sophisticated and romantic at the same time, for an elegant bride.
Which are your favourite restaurants in Barcelona?
I recommend SpeakEasy. The food is really good and the atmosphere is also very special. It is like eating in a forbidden club during the famous dry law of the 30s.
Can you recommend any local dishes?
Pan amb tomàquet, bread with tomato, garlic and olive oil, very traditional and delicious!
Where are the best views of Barcelona?
From the Carretera de las Aguas, north of the city, quite close to Tibidabo mountain. The views are spectacular everywhere you look.
Do you have a favourite bar or club?
The two best ones in Barcelona are Luz de Gas on Muntaner, which is like a glamorous old theatre, and Universal on Marià Cubí where you can listen to house and 80s hits.
How do you like to travel around the city?
Usually by motorbike.
Any advice for visitors?
Enjoy the city on foot or by bike. The weather is so good all the year that this is the best way to discover it.
Can you recommend any good hotels?
Any located in the centre of the city.
Which Catalan artist or designer do you admire?
Antonio Gaudí, without doubt.
What can’t you live without?
Illusion and hope.
