In Bilbao, a city in the north of Spain, in the Basque Country.
Where do you live?
Barcelona, in the Gràcia neighbourhood.
Why do you like it?
Because it is centrally located and it is easy to find houses with big, nice back yards.
Which is your favourite area of Barcelona?
La Barceloneta, close to the beach. It is an area full of tiny, typical tapas bars where you can enjoy traditional products at a good price.
If money was no object, where would you live?
We are very happy living in Barcelona. We would like to be on Tibidabo, a part of the city located close to the famous mountain, where you can find impressive modernist houses hidden in the forest.
Which is your favourite Barcelona store?
Fins de Siècles, Enric Granados 70, a boutique owned by a Belgian couple where you can find a fantastic selection of 30s and 50s furniture.
Where is your showroom?
Enric Granados 46. It is a a pedestrian street shaded by huge trees and very quiet. There several art galleries, antique stores and charming restaurants.
Where can your creations be found?
In Como Agua de Mayo, Carrer de l’Argenteria 43, and in B-Huno, Carrer d’Elisabets 18. But if you want to see the complete collection our store on Enric Granados is the best place to go.
Which is your favourite Barcelona restaurant?
The new Mordisco at Paseo de la Concepción 10, a signature restaurant of the late 80s that has just reopened. Its blinis and fried artichokes are addictive!
Can you recommend any local dishes to try?
We have to be faithful to our origins. We love Basque food!
Where are the best views of Barcelona to be found?
From a tennis club located on Camí de la Foixarda, Montjuic. It looks like a part of the movie Grey Gardens and the views are spectacular.
Where do you take out-of-town friends?
To Caixa Forum; there is always an interesting cultural offer.
Do you have a favourite bar?
Il Giardinetto, Granada del Penedès 22, a restaurant and cocktail bar from 1968 which remains intact and it is full of small details from that time.
How do you like to travel around Barcelona?
On foot, always. It is a very easy city to walk around.
Which is your favourite Barcelona landmark?
The Mies van der Rohe pavilion, Francesc Ferrer i Gùardia 7. We think that, since it was built, it has been an emblematic building both for its structure and for the perception of the past it evokes.
Do you have any advice for visitors?
Visit Sant Felip Neri square. Some scenes from the movie Perfume: The Story of a Murderer were recorded there.
Can you recommend any good hotels?
The Mandarin Oriental, Passeig de Gràcia 38. The interior decoration is very cosy and the terrace is full of mimosa trees, very nice and enjoyable all year round.
Is there any Catalan artist that you admire?
We like photographer Xevi Muntané’s work very much.
Where do you run away to relax?
A wonderful boutique hotel in Aragón, Mas de la Serra, only two hours away from Barcelona. It was built on the top of a mountain and is surrounded by pure nature. You feel as if you were camping in the middle of the forest – but in a luxury refuge.
What can’t you live without?
The Parc del Laberint d’Horta, Castanyers 1, with its waterfalls and peacocks.
