‘We opened our first store more than 20 years ago and moved to this location, right next to the old store, two years ago. I fell in love with the place because it reminds me of a loft and is very luminous, large and cosy at the same time. On top of that, it is located in a charming street, just a stone’s throw from Passeig de Gràcia. I was 100% involved with the design and concept of the store, as I always have a clear idea of what I want. The main references that I wanted to incorporate into the design range from Miami’s art deco movement and Picasso to African and Asian art, the Palm Springs landscapes of Slim Aarons, French chic and British style ... I think there is a little bit of all that in the shop.'
‘We have always tried to evolve with every collection, facing new challenges regarding colour, volumes and materials. We always want to be true to our ethical values and we have a firm commitment to craftsmanship and quality. For me, fashion design is a vehicle that allows me to illustrate my dreams, to create idyllic situations in the purest reality – and my colourful collections and store reflect this. As do the customers: the Lydia Delgado woman enjoys unique clothing and likes to be different. She’s sophisticated, she’s interested in art, culture and travelling, and she cares about personal growth and living life to the fullest.'
‘This season, expect beaded colourful dresses, lace ensembles, fantasy coats, and our always cheerful accessories such as geometric earrings made of Swarovski crystals and bold flower earrings made of resin. Aside from the Lydia Delgado collection, customers can also shop my series of paintings called Iconic Girls as well as my second line, Miranda for Lydia, which was created with my daughter, the artist and influencer Miranda Makaroff.’
