After working together in 2017, Swiss luxury brand Bally and music producer Swizz Beatz have joined forces once again, this time collaborating with artist Shok-1. The limited-edition capsule collection is presented under the umbrella of the Bally Collective, a platform curated by Swizz Beatz that seeks to give a voice to creatives and artists. The music producer and entrepreneur, who is also an art collector, orchestrated the collaboration with Bally and Shok-1.
Shok-1 is known for creating X-ray artwork using a highly skilled freehand spray-paint technique. Three of the London-based artist’s signature themes – a hand, a fly and the consumer – feature in the capsule collection. The result is a range of unisex pieces spanning ready-to-wear, footwear and accessories, including signature Bally styles such as Galaxy trainers and Hercules high-tops.
The capsule collection was launched in Tokyo, with a number of events to mark the occasion: Shok-1 has created a special mural in Tokyo’s Shibuya neighbourhood, and Bally’s Ginza flagship is home to a pop-up gallery space showcasing artwork by Shok-1, which is open to the public for four weeks.
This unique capsule collection is available now, through to 30 November.
