Jingumae is one of the most affluent streets in Tokyo with a wide range of high-end fashion boutiques and trendy restaurants located on the tree-lined boulevard. The new Fred Perry flagship is the latest addition to Tokyo’s answer to the avenue des Champs-Élysées in Paris.
The brand’s flagship is inspired by its British heritage, paying homage to factory buildings built in the UK during the era of the Industrial Revolution. Set over three floors, the new flagship is the world’s largest Fred Perry store and will house the brand’s entire core collection as well as a series of Tokyo Specials, a covetable range of exclusive pieces designed to honour the style and subculture of London’s music scene. Highlights of the special collection include a Fred Perry classic polo shirt based on the styling of Paul Weller, as well as a 1960s-inspired Harrington jacket designed to reflect the singer Amy Winehouse. The store will also showcase the brand’s signature laurel wreath motif with an impressive laurel sculpture in the reception. The Fred Perry flagship is a must-visit during your stay in the Japanese capital.
