For autumn/winter 2017/18, creative director Alessandro Michele continued Gucci’s unique and whimsical flourishes across both men’s and women’s clothing and accessories. Vibrant colours, playful logos and antique-inspired designs featured heavily in a collection which paid extra attention to jewellery and accessories. Inspiration seemed to come from a variety of sources, including different decades, from the 1940s to the 70s and 80s, as well as the Orient. Highlights ranged from umbrellas to embroidered socks, antique jewellery and bee-adorned bags. Here, we take a look at some of the brand’s autumn/winter 2017/18 accessories, with standout pieces such as rose-patterned socks, moth-print umbrellas, a velvet bow brooch and Gucci bee ring.
