Show Report: Versace Spring/Summer 2012

With an H&M collaboration about to launch and one of Britiain’s hottest young designers, Christopher Kane, on its diffusion line, Versace is having a real moment. For spring/summer 2012 Donatella Versace retired Medusa heads in favour of an aquatic theme. Versace’s mini-dresses, hot pants and leather jackets were adorned with seahorses, shells and mermaids. The collection’s sweet-shop shades referenced many of Donatella’s past designs but remained firmly in the present thanks to its modern silhouettes.
