The little sister of Roberto Cavalli’s main line has grown up for spring/summer 2013. The extensive collection embodied all of Just Cavalli’s trademarks – a rock ‘n’ roll attitude, body-conscious cuts and a splash of leopard print – but teamed these with a clean colour palette based in white and pastels and a looser silhouette that made the most of contrasting layers. Prints were varied, ranging from an antique blue paisley design that trailed across trouser legs to an exuberant blouse in a tropical forest print and otherworldly magenta stars emblazoned across mini dresses.
Everything came with a dose of attitude; ripped jeans toned down crisp white shirts, studded leather jackets concealed flirtatious, floating dresses and hair was left in nonchalantly undone waves. This rebellious edge helped tone down the overt sexuality Cavalli is known for and added interest to the more refined tailored separates. With its perfect mix of sophistication and sensuality, the collection saw the Just Cavalli girl come of age in style.
