Show Report: Fendi Spring/Summer 2012

Karl Lagerfeld’s vision of a 1960s housewife was always going to be more glamorous than authentic. Emerging from beneath a giant set of scales, beehived models were bedecked in chic cotton shirt-dresses, cropped racing jackets and dense short-sleeved knits complemented with an array of shades. A pastel colour palette with candy stripes and floral appliqué prints added period detail. Wide Peter Pan collars and nipped-in waists make this collection surprisingly feminine and extremely wearable.
