Millennials – in other words, 18-to-30-year-olds – took over Milan this week for a season dedicated to fashion’s younger fans. Major Italian fashion houses embraced the digital generation with collections targeting younger audiences. Dolce & Gabbana led the way last year with a show called The New Princes, and it continued this theme for SS18 with models replaced by social media influencers and bloggers. Prada and Fendi looked to charm millennials with collections featuring cool illustrations – a perennially popular method of capturing social media attention. The 1990s revival that was first seen in London continued in Milan with the return of the bumbag at Prada and basketball caps at Versace. Take a look at the top trends from Milan Fashion Week SS18.
