Valentino’s pre-fall 2015 collection was revealed earlier this week, presenting a typically romantic collection based around feminine florals and eclectic prints of the late 60s and early 70s.
Daywear offerings included a strong nod to the 70s, a decade which has already proved a key trend for 2015. Denim flares, suede coats and embellished jackets were some of the highlights of the collection, while Valentino’s signature Rockstud heels also made an appearance.
The brand’s bohemian spirit was also reflected in its eveningwear looks, where the 70s silhouettes were embellished to offer modern appeal. Maxi-dresses were embroidered with delicate lace inserts and slogans which channelled designers Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pierpaolo Picciolo’s message of ‘peace, love and harmony’.
