Italy is a leading producer of fragrances and cosmetics, and the country’s haute perfumes make the perfect luxury gifts or souvenirs.
Synonymous with Italian elegance and craftsmanship, Acqua di Parma is one of the best Italian beauty brands. This year marks the 100th anniversary of Acqua di Parma’s first signature cologne and, to celebrate the event, the brand has launched three new fragrances, all inspired by the city of Parma and its operatic heritage. The three fragrances are all presented in reinterpretations of the first Colonia bottle design from 1916, featuring handmade crystal stoppers with an emerald cut.
Note di Colonia I
Inspired by Verdi’s La Traviata, one of the most famous Italian operas, Note di Colonia I is a vibrant composition of bergamot and neroli. The classic cologne contains a romantic mix of citrus notes, heart notes of lavender and Damascus rose and violet, and base notes of patchouli and cedar wood.
Note di Colonia II
Nessun Dorma, the famous aria from Puccini’s Turandot, is the inspiration behind Note di Colonia II. Sophisticated and complex with a woody and aromatic emphasis, this is an emotive and refined fragrance. Notes of orange and grapefruit mix with warm cardamom and sandalwood to create a deep and powerful fragrance.
Note di Colonia III
Verdi’s Aida – in particular its Triumphal March – is the third opera to inspire the new collection. Note di Colonia III’s vibrant accords are an ode to the dramatic opera, with mandarin and ginger enriched with a heart of vetiver, olibanum and jasmine. Powerful and full-bodied, it is an ideal complement to the other fragrances.
The perfect souvenir of your visit to Italy, the new Acqua di Parma Note di Colonia fragrances are sure to impress and would make a desirable addition to any perfume collection.
