With its ultra-luxurious decor of marble and brass, boutique Senato Hotel is one of the chicest venues in the city. The interior is a haven for design lovers and the hidden rooftop garden and bar is one of the best spaces to cool down in the city. The Senato Roof is recreated each summer by an up-and-coming designer who is given free rein in a makeover of the outside space. Last summer Marco Lavit transformed the rooftop with white sofas, lush plants and wooden bamboo slats which filtered the sun’s rays and provided subtle patterns of light and shade. An unexpected sanctuary, this is the perfect place to admire the city from a new vantage point.
