Enjoy a trip to the recently renovated de Bijenkorf department store in Rotterdam. It offers a large selection of designer labels, a larger cosmetics department, a new luxury watches and jewellery department and a host of brands exclusive to de Bikenkorf in the city.
The renovated beauty corner
The first stage of the retail expansion focused on the popular cosmetics department. Having increased from 1,000 square metres to 1,300 square metres, the updated cosmetics floor includes beauty treatment rooms and a range of exclusive brands such as Charlotte Tilbury, Le Labo and Nars. There are more than 50 skincare and cosmetics labels available.
The pop-up shop phenomenon
The Rotterdam store welcomed a Louis Vuitton pop-up shop-in-shop in November 2018, which is unique to de Bijenkorf. At the expanded department store customers experience international luxury brands in a new design-led shopping environment.
Luxury watches and jewellery
Renovated in spring 2018, the new luxury watches and jewellery department introduced popular brands such as Longines, Swarovski and Diamond Point.
Luxury leather goods and accessories
Find your new luxury leather handbag at the updated accessories department which is home to glamorous brands such Burberry, Furla, Michael Kors and Marc Jacobs. Shop premium luxury at Balenciaga, Chloé and Spanish label Loewe, where you can pick up the bestselling Puzzle bag.
The art of Dutch food at Coolsingel Café and Meesterbanketbakker
Summer 2018 saw the arrival of Coolsingel Café at de Bijenkorf in Rotterdam, serving authentic Dutch food. Located on the first floor, the 55-seat café offers traditional Dutch cakes, pastries and coffee, and you can even enjoy a glass of prosecco, wine or champagne. At Meesterbanketbakker bakery you can devour delicious de Bijenkorf cake creations among other chocolate and confectionery delights.
The all-new womenswear department
The final phase of the store expansion has been in the womenswear department, which received the largest update, with new fashion brands including Cos, Max Mara, Maje, and French contemporary label Sandro. Other highlights include Marc Cain, Reiss and demin trends from Levi’s and Scotch & Soda. The women’s designer corner has also expanded and offers fashion week ready-to-wear favourites from brands such as Balmain, Givenchy, Moncler and Dolce & Gabbana.
