What do you do when your brand outgrows its store? Open a new shop across the street. British powerhouse Burberry now has the Amsterdam base it deserves, a three-floor, 600-square-metre flagship a stone’s throw from its original home on the super-luxe PC Hooftstraat. That store has now been given over to menswear and there’s a female focus at the new boutique, which attracted the likes of Hollywood actress Carice van Houten to its launch party. This being Burberry, there was a ‘young London’ vibe, with music courtesy of One Night Only frontman and sometime Burberry model George Craig, who turned DJ for one night only.
