The Roast Room
Sleek interior design and impressive meats are at the core of The Roast Room. The venue encompasses two concepts: the Roast Bar, a brasserie-style restaurant, and the Rotisserie, a fine dining restaurant. The former occupies the ground floor and is theatrically centred around the restaurant’s butchery. Upstairs is the more formal fine dining Rotisserie, where diners can watch the chefs at work in the large open kitchen, complete with charcoal grill and the rotisserie. The interiors are striking, featuring beautiful bronze details, special lighting and sculptures, while the beautifully presented food itself is also a work of art. Highlights of the Rotisserie menu include both Irish and Australian Angus steaks, cote de boeuf, and surf-and-turf options. With an impressive list of sides, from roasted Brussels sprouts to creamy potato mousseline and sauerkraut, this is somewhere to indulge.

Style and substance combine at chic cosmopolitan restaurant Mr Porter. The restaurant is famous for its top steaks and has an impressive menu offering plenty of meat options, from traditional sirloin to Japanese wagyu, chateaubriand to hanger steaks. Sides or ‘accessories,’ as they are referred to, are equally as indulgent, with dauphinoise potatoes, black-truffle polenta and pearl pasta with caramelised onions just some of the highlights. For those who still have room, the Sinful Dessert menu is just as tempting, with popcorn crème brûlée, pistachio fondant and profiteroles.

Founded in 1990, Restaurant Luna was the first Argentinean restaurant located in the heart of the Jordaan district. The restaurant brings the flavours of Argentina to the cobbled streets of Amsterdam, with a top menu that has made it a popular port of call for locals and discerning steak lovers. The menu is vast, with plenty of meat, fish and vegetarian options, but the restaurant is most famous for its steaks. Choose from Argentinean meat, such as the rib-eye or the entrecôte, and settle in to enjoy live music on Friday and Saturday.
