Before Berlin captured the global art world’s attention as a nexus for emerging creativity, Cologne was the centre of Germany’s art activity. An exhibition by the avant-garde Danish designer, artist and musician Henrik Vibskov brilliantly brings Cologne back into the spotlight. Until 20 May, Vibskov will display 30 newly crafted art objects and a massive light sculpture made of 20,000 spikes of inflated nylon in the Ruttkowski 68 contemporary art gallery. The designer whose clothes are bellwethers for Scandavian and European style seekers will surely light the way for Germany’s artistically inclined culture lovers.
