Tommy Hilfiger has long been the master of All-American style and he has recently extended his preppy empire to Hamburg. The Tommy Hilfiger flagship store is located in the historic Alte Post (Old Post Office), designed by Alexis de Chateauneuf and built in 1842, taking inspiration from Tuscan design. The exterior has been faithfully restored and the two-storey store is spread over 647 square metres. The ground floor is home to Hilfiger’s ever-popular denim, womenswear and children's lines and is decked out with a clean and classic white beech and walnut interior. Don’t miss Hilfiger’s cheerful striped cable-knit sweaters and crisp checked shirt dresses from his spring/summer 2012 collection. Menswear and Tommy Hilfiger Tailored collections are available on the second floor, which is decked out with antiques from America and Europe and contains a comfortable lounge area where shoppers can rest their weary feet.
