Recent seasons have seen Chanel release some of the quirkiest bags, themed around everything from milk bottles to rockets and robots. This season, Karl Lagerfeld kept things more traditional with wicker basket-style bags inspired by his beach-themed collection, although those looking for something unique should invest in the beach ball-style bags. For SS19, the house unveiled some new styles, including egg-shaped bags and UFO-inspired bags, reflecting the futuristic ready-to-wear collection. In Milan, Dolce & Gabbana continued to enhance its collection of quirky bag designs, this time making a case for picnic baskets, wicker cases and even a Santa Claus look.
