For Chanel’s autumn/winter 2018/19 collection, Karl Lagerfeld transformed the Grand Palais into an autumnal forest complete with real trees and a leaf-strewn runway. The collection was composed of 80 looks and offered plenty of inspiration for chic outdoor dressing. Chanel’s signature tweed played a main role, with beautiful tweed jackets and overcoats in wonderful autumnal colour palettes. The autumn/winter 2018/19 collection also included a wide range of exciting accessories, taking the wood theme and translating it across handbags, shoes and jewellery. Burnt metallics offered a modern take on autumn hues with golden boots, gloves and handbags a big draw. Particular attention was given to the jewellery; the range featured delicate leaf brooches and necklaces as well as beautiful woven gold bracelets and cuffs.
