Kenzo’s autumn/winter collection emphasised a unique and distinctive tailoring style. Bold prints and varying hues were flawlessly incorporated into high-waisted skirts, confident outerwear with sharp collars and elegant formal trousers.
The diverse colour palette used by the Japanese designer ranged from khaki greens and mustard yellows to deep reds and bright blues, displayed in a complementary bright yellow venue. The contrasting autumnal tones perfectly accentuated the use of knitted, velvet and fine leather fabrics.
The autumn theme observed throughout was further elaborated through the use of printed autumn leaves over grey or white dresses and trousers. Bright interlinked stripes, tiger motifs over woven sweaters and sheer ensembles with tapered collars also added an exciting edge to the entire range.
This autumnal collection was accessorised with the occasional beret and leather gloves, leaving the attention primarily on Kenzo’s inimitable and covetable wardrobe fundamentals.
