The look at Chloé was super fresh this season, inspired by Corinne Day’s photographs from the early 90s and the young Kate Moss. Clare Waight Keller seemed to have hit her stride in her second season as head of the label, blending her British roots with the elegance and style of the Chloé woman. Sportswear was dressed up in the signature powdery colours of the house: lemon, sand, eggshell blue and nectarine. Quilted jackets and slouchy knits were paired with relaxed jogging-style trousers with elasticated ankles. Calf-length skirts were also elasticated at the hem, which added weight to their silken texture.
Rich burgundy, blue-grey and black punctuated the collection and structure was added to the dropped waists of skirts and dresses with oversized coats and capes, which billowed about the models as they walked down the runway in front of a crowd which included Paris Vogue’s Emmanuelle Alt, photographer and designer Ulyana Sergeenko and Anya Ziourova, the fashion director of Russian Tatler.
