Where were you born?
Which are your favourite Paris stores?
I love the concept store Merci on boulevard Beaumarchais, the Artazart bookstore on the Canal Saint Martin, Guerrisol in Pigalle for cheap vintage, Pretty Box for chic vintage on rue Saintonge and all the amazing fabric shops around Dreyfus down the Sacré Coeur.
And your favourite restaurants?
I adore all the Japanese restaurants on rue Sainte Anne. For French cuisine I go to Chez Marie Louise on rue Marie et Louise or the French brasserie Chez Chartier on rue Montmartre.
Which café would you recommend during Fashion Week?
Chez Jeannette on rue du Faubourg Saint-Denis is my favourite. It has a great laid-back vibe after the fast-paced frenzy of the shows.
Can you suggest any dishes to try?
Escargots (snails), magret de canard (duck) and tarte tatin (apple tart).
Where do you take out-of-town friends?
To the Palais de Tokyo and its amazing book shop, to the Parc des Buttes Chaumont if it’s sunny or to the bars on the Canal Saint Martin.
Where do you like to celebrate during Fashion Week?
La Fidélité, a super-cool restaurant. There are always great events in the basement too.
Do you have a favourite Paris walk?
Along the Canal Saint Martin.
Any advice for visitors?
At the weekend, do your shopping between 10am and midday, afterwards it’s hell! Take a Parisian with you if you can, he or she will take you to the secret places. Watch your bag on the Metro, too!
What can’t you live without?
I love Paris and being in touch with different cultures is something that challenges and inspires me as a designer.
