Penhaligon’s opts for a quintessentially English fragrance collection for 2017, showcasing the style and stature of the British aristocracy. The Portraits collection pays tribute to the English spirit and the establishment, entwined with modern humour and a sense of playfulness. Chapter one, introduced last autumn, delivered four his-and-hers fragrances with rich and spicy tones for men, including brandy, tonka bean and invigorating pepper rose, while the women’s scents provided a delicate, carefree touch with musky wood, mandarin and narcissus flower.
For 2017, chapter two delivers two new characters and scents to the Portrait family. Clandestine Clara’s sensual, intoxicating fragrance has a heart of cinnamon musk, a nod to Clara’s extrovert, night-owl character.
For men, Roaring Radcliff plays poker with appealing elegance, living in the moment with a suave attitude. His signature scent exudes allure, with notes of rum, tobacco and gingerbread for the charismatic, modern man playing by his own rules.
