Luxury French label Louis Vuitton recently opened its first jewellery boutique in place Vendôme, one of Paris’s most luxurious shopping areas. The new boutique’s location is significant for the Parisian fashion house as it is just behind the building where the first Louis Vuitton store opened in 1854.
Designed by architect Peter Marino, who has also worked on Vuitton stores in London, Milan and Rome, the interior’s tough, strong theme contrasts with the fine collections it houses. Precious gemstones are shown against a backdrop composed of natural, raw materials and even straw is used to draw attention to the exquisite designs.
Head to the new boutique to find new watches and the Âme du Voyage Escale à Paris jewellery collection, which celebrates love of travel. The new timepieces are encased in Louis Vuitton’s signature monogrammed print trunks complete with lock and key, reminiscent of a treasure trove.
