Venerable French trunk maker Moynat was founded in 1849 and its products have been coveted by international jetsetters since its inception. One of the world’s oldest trunk and leather goods labels, Moynat is a historic brand you are sure to want to visit while you are in Paris.
This month, Moynat launches its Bad Dreams collection, created by artistic director Ramesh Nair. The new collection is inspired by Franco-Japanese artist Tiffany Bouelle and her artistic blend of the monstrous and the adorable, the real and the imaginary. Bad Dreams, a series of illustrations Bouelle has imagined for Moynat, was inspired by her brothers and their games. Her Ulysse character is human, while the monster is called Adam, a play on the French term a dents (‘with teeth’). As a result, the new bags are a fun reimagining of the iconic Initial canvas, updating the tote with teeth motifs while keeping the bags as luxuriously finished as the rest of the collection.
The Bad Dreams collection will be available in all Moynat boutiques and galleries from 15 December 2018.
