Located in the 1st arrondissement, historic place Vendôme is the best place in Paris to shop for some of the world’s finest jewellery and watches. The grand square has long been associated with haute jewellers, and it is arrayed with French and international brands, from Van Cleef & Arpels, Piaget and Chanel to Chaumet and Boucheron. This month, Gucci joins the prestigious shopping area, with the brand’s first boutique dedicated to high jewellery.
The new store is at 16 place Vendôme and will house the label’s fine jewellery. It will also offer Alessandro Michele’s first-ever high-jewellery collection for Gucci, Hortus Deliciarum. The new line is inspired by the poetic universe of the Gucci creative director and comprises more than 200 pieces, with motifs based on eternal love, the animal kingdom and solitaires. The new jewellery range features a stunning array of coloured gemstones, from rose topaz and green tourmaline to white diamonds and pink and blue sapphires. Highlights of the new Gucci Hortus Deliciarum line include a magnificent 30.30-carat opal hand-carved into a coiled serpent ring which is flecked with diamonds. Take a look at some of the standout high-jewellery pieces available at the new Gucci place Vendôme boutique here.
