A cosy boutique hotel with 37 rooms, the Grand Pigalle Hotel is perfectly located in the centre of the ninth arrondissement. This lively neighbourhood is full of brasseries and bars so there is lots to do at night, and the Moulin Rouge cabaret is only a short walk away. During the day, you can explore the area’s cool concept stores, boutiques and vintage shops, and the Basilique du Sacré-Coeur church.
The hotel’s atmosphere is warm and friendly, and the attention to detail is second to none. From the cute pineapple door knockers to the martini glass-patterned corridor carpets and the Sachajuan mini shampoo and body wash, or the radio in the room that can be connected to your phone via Bluetooth for your music, everything is extremely well thought out.
The hotel has a restaurant and wine bar, and also offers a healthy and nutritious breakfast buffet in the morning, featuring home-made granola, yogurt, excellent croissants (soft, buttery and not too sweet) and really good coffee from an Italian-made machine. Eggs of your choice are made to order. Tableware is carefully selected, from the ceramic coffee mugs and plates to the napkin holders. Even the staff uniform is from French Trotters, a Parisian brand from the heart of the Marais district.
Four different types of room are available – Sopi, Pigalle, Henry Monnier and Grand Pigalle, as well as the Parisian Roofs suites – with each option decorated in a different style while sharing a common aesthetic. The coloured walls, bright tiles in the bathroom and the large classic Parisian windows will delight guests. The largest top-floor rooms encompass 20 square metres, with superb views of the Parisian skyline.
The Grand Pigalle Hotel is part of the Experimental Group, which owns many cocktail bars and restaurants across London, Paris, New York and Ibiza. It was founded by childhood friends Romée de Goriainoff, Pierre-Charles Cros and Olivier Bon who, after seven years in the hospitality industry, decided to combine their knowledge and interest in the international travel scene to open their first hotel. They have definitely succeeded in creating an elegant, comfortable and contemporary aesthetic, and the cosmopolitan and lively Pigalle neighbourhood is the perfect location. Rooms start from €200 per night.
