For some of the best Chinese food in Paris look no further than the popular Davé restaurant. The family-run diner, which opened in 1982 and has since become famous, offers authentic Chinese cuisine alongside selected Vietnamese dishes.
Over the years the restaurant has welcomed a number of celebrity guests, from rap artists to A-list movie stars, many of whom have become regulars.
Davé Cheung attributes his restaurant’s success to the fact he gets to know the diners personally. Many of the regulars are famous worldwide, from Kanye West and P Diddy to Leonardo DiCaprio and Natalie Portman.
The restaurant is also popular among the world’s leading fashion designers, including Marc Jacobs. The late Yves Saint Laurent and Alexander McQueen also ate here. British model Kate Moss and Anna Wintour, editor of US Vogue, have held private parties at the restaurant.
On arrival at the minimalist eaterie, diners can enjoy a private and intimate setting where they can relax out of the public eye.
Over the years, Cheung has kept photographs of each of his celebrity guests on a memory wall as a reminder of the restaurant’s ongoing success.
