French luxury shoe designer Christian Louboutin is famous for his playful designs, especially his footwear featuring red soles. He has created an exclusive pop-up shop and exhibition in the renowned Bon Marché as part of the Parisian department store’s celebration of the creative leaders of Paris. The pop-up, which runs until 16 October in the Bon Marché store on the Rive Gauche, transports visitors into the fantastical world of Louboutin, offering an exhibition about the designer as well as presenting limited-edition shoes, bags and accessories.
The range includes reworkings of the designer’s Trash shoes, first introduced for spring/summer 1999, as well as striking evening shoes adorned with sumptuous materials. Bags also get an upgrade with whimsical beads and paisley prints on new colourways. For men, exclusive styles include new sneakers and smoking slippers made with alligator skin and suede, adding a fun twist to traditional styles. Christian Louboutin’s creations are some of the most desirable items of Parisian fashion and would make truly luxurious souvenirs from the French capital.
