Fashion Week shines a stylish spotlight on the host cities of New York, London, Milan and Paris. London is often regarded as cutting-edge and the most eclectic of the four, while Milan's Italian design is famous for its high-octane drama, featuring bright colours, bold prints and tactile textures. French designers, synonymous with elegance, glamour and tradition, showcased a slightly edgier approach on the autumn/winter 2016 catwalks, with brands such as Dior, Louis Vuitton and Chanel opting for brighter colours and more embellishment. Designers also shunned their signature bag shapes, instead upgrading traditional models with fun, quirky and smaller variations.
