As soon as you walk through the doors of the Eiffel Blomet hotel you can immediately tell it was created with artistry in mind. Minimalism and maximalism merge in art deco style at this newly renovated hotel in the 15th arrondissement. The beautifully authentic remake was achieved thanks to architects Bruno Borrione and Vincent Bastie; Borrione is known for his work on hotels such as the Prince de Galles and Le Royal Monceau, while Bastie’s prestigious CV includes famous addresses such as Les Bains, Le Burgundy and Le Pradey.
The street where the Eiffel Blomet is located is reclaiming past fame with the reopening of Bal Blomet, a famous nightclub just down the road from the hotel that was visited by artist Joan Miró, poet Robert Desnos and cabaret star Joséphine Baker and other celebrities in its 1920s and 30s golden years. The Eiffel Tower is just a short walk away, as the hotel name suggests.
The Eiffel Blomet’s stylish, artistic interior is a backdrop for 78 rooms and nine suites. Each features different artwork and some have balconies. The patio behind the hotel is perfect for breakfast on warm days and the hotel bar operates on an honesty principle, with no bar staff; you serve yourself and drinks are added to your bill, so you can enjoy a glass whenever you would like to.
I think the biggest selling point is the spa and gym in the basement – a swimming pool is hard to find in a central Paris hotel. Art deco vibes are also evident in the pool and wellness area’s geometric layout and mosaics. Bring your swimsuit and relax with a massage, a session in the hammam, or a leisurely swim. Room prices start at €193.
